Ranking of US States By the Poverty Rate of the Non-Hispanic White Alone Ethnicity Group in 2021 (ACS-5Yrs)

Based on the US Census ACS-5Yrs estimates, in 2021, the Poverty Rate for the Non-Hispanic White Alone ethnicity group in the United States was 9.22%. Among all US states and DC, the Non-Hispanic White Alone ethnicity group had the highest poverty rate in West Virginia (16.14%), followed by Kentucky (14.94%), and Arkansas (12.68%). On the other hand, the Non-Hispanic White Alone ethnicity group had the lowest poverty rate in the following 3 states: District of Columbia (5.18%), New Jersey (6.03%), and Connecticut (6.12%).
