Based on the US Census ACS-5Yrs estimates, in 2021, the Median Household Income for the United States was $69,021. Among all US states and DC, District of Columbia had the highest median household income ($93,547), followed by Maryland ($91,431), and New Jersey ($89,703). On the other hand, the following 3 states had the lowest median household income: Mississippi ($49,111), West Virginia ($50,884), and Arkansas ($52,123).
