Based on the US Census ACS-5Yrs estimates, in 2021, the percentage of households in New Mexico with household income of Less than $40K was 38.17%. Among all New Mexico cities and places with a population of at least 10K, Deming city had the highest percentage of households with household income of Less than $40K (59.60%), followed by Chaparral CDP (57.24%), and Las Vegas city (54.58%).
On the other hand, the following 3 cities and places had low percentages of households with household income of Less than $40K: Los Alamos CDP (14.20%), Rio Rancho city (20.88%), and Los Lunas village (28.57%).
