According to data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in 2003 Q4, the average weekly wage for Maryland was $831. Among all Maryland counties, Montgomery County had the highest average weekly wage ($1.01K), followed by Howard County ($873), and Baltimore city ($870).

On the other hand, Garrett County had the lowest average weekly wage ($473), followed by Worcester County ($509), and Allegany County ($567).
