According to recent data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, in July 2003, the United States not seasonally adjusted Consumer Price Index for all urban consumers (CPI-U): Cleveland-Akron, OH was 176 and the 12-month percent change (inflation rate) was 1.5%. The following item categories had the highest not seasonally adjusted 12-month percent change in CPI-U:

  1. Household energy: 24.3%
  2. Motor fuel: 8.2%
  3. Food away from home: 4.3%
