According to recent data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, in July 2006, the United States not seasonally adjusted Consumer Price Index for all urban consumers (CPI-U): Cleveland-Akron, OH was 193.1 and the 12-month percent change (inflation rate) was 6.3%. The following item categories had the highest not seasonally adjusted 12-month percent change in CPI-U:

  1. Motor fuel: 29.1%
  2. Household energy: 6.5%
  3. Food away from home: 6.4%
