According to recent data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, in January 2005, the United States not seasonally adjusted Consumer Price Index for all urban consumers (CPI-U): Dallas-Fort Worth-Arlington, TX was 180 and the 12-month percent change (inflation rate) was 3.5%. The following item categories had the highest not seasonally adjusted 12-month percent change in CPI-U:

  2. Motor fuel: 13.5%
  3. Alcoholic beverages: 12.9%
