According to data from the US BLS, in July 2016, the United States Consumer Price Index for all urban consumers (CPI-U): Midwest - Size Class D was 224.279 and the 12-month percent change (inflation rate) was 0.7%% (not seasonally adjusted). The Alcoholic beverages item had the highest 12-month percent change or inflation rate (3.4%), followed by Rent of primary residence (3.1%), and Owners' equivalent rent of residences (3.0%).
