According to data from the US BLS, in July 2016, the United States Consumer Price Index for all urban consumers (CPI-U): Midwest was 226.786 and the 12-month percent change (inflation rate) was 0.4%% (not seasonally adjusted). The Professional services item had the highest 12-month percent change or inflation rate (3.6%), followed by Rent of primary residence (2.9%), and Owners' equivalent rent of residences (2.9%).
