According to data from the US BLS, in July 2016, the United States Consumer Price Index for all urban consumers (CPI-U): Northeast - Size Class B/C was 150.523 and the 12-month percent change (inflation rate) was 0.3%% (not seasonally adjusted). The Owners' equivalent rent of residences item had the highest 12-month percent change or inflation rate (3.6%), followed by Rent of primary residence (2.1%), and Food away from home (1.9%).
