According to recent data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, in September 2008, the United States not seasonally adjusted Consumer Price Index for all urban consumers (CPI-U): Philadelphia-Camden-Wilmington, PA-NJ-DE-MD was 249.093 and the 12-month percent change (inflation rate) was 19.0%. The following item categories had the highest not seasonally adjusted 12-month percent change in CPI-U:

  2. Household energy: 9%
