According to recent data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, in March 2017, the United States not seasonally adjusted Consumer Price Index for all urban consumers (CPI-U): Philadelphia-Camden-Wilmington, PA-NJ-DE-MD was 183.652 and the 12-month percent change (inflation rate) was 9.3%. The following item categories had the highest not seasonally adjusted 12-month percent change in CPI-U:

  1. Motor fuel: 25.7%
  2. Owners' equivalent rent of residences: 2.2%
  3. Rent of primary residence: 1.6%
