According to recent data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, in February 2004, the United States not seasonally adjusted Consumer Price Index for all urban consumers (CPI-U): Seattle-Tacoma-Bellevue WA was 193.5 and the 12-month percent change (inflation rate) was 3.1%. The following item categories had the highest not seasonally adjusted 12-month percent change in CPI-U:

  1. Food away from home: 5.3%
  2. Food at home: 2.9%
  3. Motor fuel: 2.7%
