According to data from the US BLS, in July 2016, the United States Consumer Price Index for all urban consumers (CPI-U): South - Size Class B/C was 147.629 and the 12-month percent change (inflation rate) was 0.4%% (not seasonally adjusted). The Rent of primary residence item had the highest 12-month percent change or inflation rate (2.6%), followed by Owners' equivalent rent of residences (1.9%), and Alcoholic beverages (1.6%).
