According to recent data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, in October 2021, the United States not seasonally adjusted Consumer Price Index for all urban consumers (CPI-U): Urban Hawaii was 316.884 and the 12-month percent change (inflation rate) was 28.8%. The following item categories had the highest not seasonally adjusted 12-month percent change in CPI-U:

  1. Motor fuel: 38.5%
  2. Household energy: 17.9%
  3. Food at home: 7.6%
