According to recent data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, in February 2022, the United States not seasonally adjusted Consumer Price Index for all urban consumers (CPI-U): Urban Hawaii was 343.521 and the 12-month percent change (inflation rate) was 32.0%. The following item categories had the highest not seasonally adjusted 12-month percent change in CPI-U:

  1. Motor fuel: 38%
  2. Household energy: 24.8%
  3. Food at home: 9.5%
