According to data from the US BLS, in July 2016, the United States Consumer Price Index for all urban consumers (CPI-U): West - Size Class A was 255.011 and the 12-month percent change (inflation rate) was 1.6%% (not seasonally adjusted). The Rent of primary residence item had the highest 12-month percent change or inflation rate (5.6%), followed by Owners' equivalent rent of residences (5.4%), and Food away from home (3.7%).
