According to recent data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, in November 2020, the United States not seasonally adjusted Consumer Price Index for all urban consumers (CPI-U): West South Central was 103.382 and the 12-month percent change (inflation rate) was 0.4%. The following item categories had the highest not seasonally adjusted 12-month percent change in CPI-U:

  1. Household energy: 4.1%
  2. New and used motor vehicles: 3.1%
  3. Food away from home: 3%
