United States Median Weekly Earnings By Race and Ethnicity of Full-Time Workers in Food Preparation and Serving Related Occupations Aged 16yrs+

According to the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics, in 2022, the median weekly earnings (without seasonal adjustment) of full-time working Blacks aged 16 years and over in the United States who work in food preparation and serving related occupations, was $581; that of Whites in the same age group and occupation group was $628, and that of Asians in the same age group and occupation group was $667. Also, the median weekly earnings of Hispanics or Latinos, of all racial backgrounds, in the same age group and occupation group was $616.

In more simple terms, the median weekly earnings of Black workers who work in food preparation and serving related occupations was 92.5% of that of their White colleagues, and 87.1% of that of their Asian colleagues who also work in food preparation and serving related occupations. In the same vein, the median weekly earnings of White workers who work in food preparation and serving related occupations was 94.2% of that of their Asian colleagues in food preparation and serving related occupations.
