United States Median Weekly Earnings By Race and Ethnicity of Full-Time Workers in Legal Occupations Aged 16yrs+

According to the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics, in 2021, the median weekly earnings (without seasonal adjustment) of full-time working Blacks aged 16 years and over in the United States who work in legal occupations, was $1,394; that of Whites in the same age group and occupation group was $1,628, and that of Asians in the same age group and occupation group was $1,907. Also, the median weekly earnings of Hispanics or Latinos, of all racial backgrounds, in the same age group and occupation group was $1,157.

In more simple terms, the median weekly earnings of Black workers who work in legal occupations was 85.6% of that of their White colleagues, and 73.1% of that of their Asian colleagues who also work in legal occupations. In the same vein, the median weekly earnings of White workers who work in legal occupations was 85.4% of that of their Asian colleagues in legal occupations.

  3. Asian Women: $1,766

  8. Hispanic or Latino Women: $1,133
