According to the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics, in 2011, the median weekly earnings (not seasonally adjusted) of full-time workers aged 16 years and above in the United States for legislators, was $926; median weekly earnings of male legislators was $1,042, and that of females in the same occupation was $363.
