According to the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics, in 2011, the median weekly earnings (not seasonally adjusted) of full-time workers aged 16 years and above in the United States for optometrists, was $1,627; median weekly earnings of male optometrists was $1,753, and that of females in the same occupation was $618.
