According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Arts, Entertainment, and Recreation industry (not seasonally adjusted) in July, 2002:

  1. New York: 10,900
  2. California: 6,000
  3. New Jersey: 5,600

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Arts, Entertainment, and Recreation industry (not seasonally adjusted) in July, 2002:

  1. Georgia: -10,300
  2. Florida: -4,000
  3. Indiana: -1,500
