According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Arts, Entertainment, and Recreation industry (not seasonally adjusted) in July, 2005:

  1. New York: 8,800
  2. New Jersey: 5,800
  3. California: 4,100

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Arts, Entertainment, and Recreation industry (not seasonally adjusted) in July, 2005:

  1. Florida: -3,200
  2. Louisiana: -700
