According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Arts, Entertainment, and Recreation industry (not seasonally adjusted) in April, 2008:

  1. Ohio: 11,900
  2. New York: 9,800
  3. Illinois: 7,600

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Arts, Entertainment, and Recreation industry (not seasonally adjusted) in April, 2008:

  1. Oklahoma: -2,500
