- Massachusetts: 1,100
- Indiana: 500
- Minnesota: 500
On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Arts, Entertainment, and Recreation industry (not seasonally adjusted) in August, 2008:
- California: -4,900
- Florida: -3,200
