According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Arts, Entertainment, and Recreation industry (not seasonally adjusted) in July, 2011:

  1. New York: 11,500
  2. New Jersey: 6,400
  3. Massachusetts: 5,100

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Arts, Entertainment, and Recreation industry (not seasonally adjusted) in July, 2011:

  1. Georgia: -800
  2. Arizona: -800
  3. Florida: -700
