According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Arts, Entertainment, and Recreation industry (not seasonally adjusted) in August, 2013:

  1. Massachusetts: 1,400
  2. Louisiana: 1,100
  3. Arizona: 900

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Arts, Entertainment, and Recreation industry (not seasonally adjusted) in August, 2013:

  1. New York: -5,400
