According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Construction industry (not seasonally adjusted) in April, 2002:

  1. Illinois: 16,900
  2. New York: 14,200
  3. Pennsylvania: 12,000

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Construction industry (not seasonally adjusted) in April, 2002:

  1. Texas: -3,200
  2. Florida: -1,300
  3. Georgia: -800
