According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Construction industry (not seasonally adjusted) in August, 2003:

  1. California: 16,100
  2. Florida: 5,200
  3. Washington: 3,600

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Construction industry (not seasonally adjusted) in August, 2003:

  1. Michigan: -500
  2. Oklahoma: -200
