According to recent data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the 3 U.S. states that added the highest not seasonally adjusted number of jobs to the Construction industry in July, 2003 were:

  1. New York: 6,700
  2. Illinois: 5,700
  3. Pennsylvania: 5,200

On the other hand, the 3 U.S. states that added the lowest not seasonally adjusted number of jobs to the Construction industry in July, 2003 were:

  1. Texas: -4,000
  2. North Carolina: -2,900
  3. Louisiana: -700
