According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Construction industry (not seasonally adjusted) in September, 2003:

  1. Florida: 2,300
  2. Georgia: 1,000
  3. Alabama: 600

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Construction industry (not seasonally adjusted) in September, 2003:

  1. Pennsylvania: -3,900
  2. Illinois: -3,700
