According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Construction industry (not seasonally adjusted) in August, 2004:

  1. California: 8,900
  2. New York: 2,900
  3. Florida: 2,700

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Construction industry (not seasonally adjusted) in August, 2004:

  1. Louisiana: -2,500
  2. Indiana: -2,100
  3. Ohio: -1,300
