  1. Illinois: 19,600
  2. New York: 18,300
  3. Michigan: 12,800

On the other hand, the 3 U.S. states that added the lowest not seasonally adjusted number of jobs to the Construction industry in April, 2006 were:

  1. California: -5,800
  2. Texas: -4,900
  3. Oklahoma: -100
