According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Construction industry (not seasonally adjusted) in January, 2006:

  1. Louisiana: 2,900
  2. South Carolina: 1,100
  3. Wyoming: -800

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Construction industry (not seasonally adjusted) in January, 2006:

  1. California: -31,800
  2. New York: -25,800
  3. Ohio: -21,900
