According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Construction industry (not seasonally adjusted) in July, 2006:

  1. Washington: 3,200
  2. North Carolina: 2,800
  3. Oregon: 2,500

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Construction industry (not seasonally adjusted) in July, 2006:

  1. Florida: -8,200
  2. Louisiana: -7,600
  3. Texas: -5,500
