According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Construction industry (not seasonally adjusted) in July, 2009:

  1. New York: 6,600
  2. Illinois: 3,400
  3. Ohio: 3,000

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Construction industry (not seasonally adjusted) in July, 2009:

  1. California: -10,900
  2. Florida: -9,900
  3. Georgia: -3,300
