According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Construction industry (not seasonally adjusted) in August, 2011:

  1. California: 5,800
  2. New York: 3,900
  3. Ohio: 2,800

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Construction industry (not seasonally adjusted) in August, 2011:

  1. Louisiana: -900
  2. Missouri: -700
  3. Maryland: -600
