According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Construction industry (not seasonally adjusted) in January, 2011:

  1. Alaska: -1,900
  2. New Hampshire: -2,100
  3. New Mexico: -2,100

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Construction industry (not seasonally adjusted) in January, 2011:

  1. New York: -26,800
  2. Illinois: -21,600
  3. Ohio: -17,700
