According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Construction industry (not seasonally adjusted) in July, 2011:

  1. California: 15,800
  2. New York: 10,200
  3. Ohio: 7,700

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Construction industry (not seasonally adjusted) in July, 2011:

  1. Mississippi: -1,200
  2. Alabama: -600
  3. Oklahoma: -500
