According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Construction industry (not seasonally adjusted) in August, 2012:

  1. California: 6,400
  2. Florida: 4,500
  3. New York: 2,800

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Construction industry (not seasonally adjusted) in August, 2012:

  1. Kansas: -400
  2. Kentucky: -100
  3. New Mexico: 100
