According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Construction industry (not seasonally adjusted) in July, 2012:

  1. California: 10,800
  2. New York: 5,600
  3. Illinois: 3,500

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Construction industry (not seasonally adjusted) in July, 2012:

  1. Louisiana: -2,400
  2. Arkansas: -1,700
  3. Mississippi: -1,000
