According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Construction industry (not seasonally adjusted) in August, 2013:

  1. California: 9,100
  2. Florida: 5,900
  3. New York: 3,400

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Construction industry (not seasonally adjusted) in August, 2013:

  1. Indiana: -1,400
  2. Missouri: -800
  3. Mississippi: -100
