According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Construction industry (not seasonally adjusted) in January, 2013:

  1. Mississippi: -1,400
  2. New Hampshire: -1,600
  3. Alaska: -1,700

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Construction industry (not seasonally adjusted) in January, 2013:

  1. Illinois: -21,800
  2. New York: -20,800
  3. Ohio: -16,800
