According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Construction industry (not seasonally adjusted) in April, 2014:

  1. New York: 20,400
  2. Illinois: 15,600
  3. Ohio: 13,100

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Construction industry (not seasonally adjusted) in April, 2014:

  1. Louisiana: -1,200
  2. Oklahoma: -600
  3. Alabama: 300
