According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Construction industry (not seasonally adjusted) in April, 2016:

  1. California: 19,600
  2. New York: 18,800
  3. Illinois: 13,700

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Construction industry (not seasonally adjusted) in April, 2016:

  1. Louisiana: -1,500
  2. Mississippi: -1,000
  3. New Mexico: 400
