According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Construction industry (not seasonally adjusted) in January, 2016:

  1. New Mexico: -800
  2. Alaska: -1,100
  3. Alabama: -1,400

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Construction industry (not seasonally adjusted) in January, 2016:

  1. New York: -24,500
  2. Illinois: -21,600
  3. California: -20,000
