According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Durable Goods industry (not seasonally adjusted) in September, 2005:

  1. Michigan: 5,600
  2. Tennessee: 1,400
  3. Alabama: 1,200

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Durable Goods industry (not seasonally adjusted) in September, 2005:

  1. Washington: -14,800
  2. Louisiana: -5,900
  3. Mississippi: -4,600
