  1. Kentucky: 4,200
  2. Texas: 2,900
  3. South Carolina: 1,600

On the other hand, the 3 U.S. states that added the lowest not seasonally adjusted number of jobs to the Durable Goods industry in December, 2006 were:

  1. Michigan: -1,600
  2. Tennessee: -1,100
  3. Virginia: -700
