According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Durable Goods industry (not seasonally adjusted) in May, 2006:

  1. Texas: 4,500
  2. California: 2,300
  3. Minnesota: 1,900

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Durable Goods industry (not seasonally adjusted) in May, 2006:

  1. Indiana: -1,500
  2. Michigan: -1,300
  3. Ohio: -1,100
